AOA# 30320970 DOB: 9/15/200517 yrs
Mr. Butterscotch (AKA Scottie, or “Mister Scot” for the serious Star Trek fan) was one of those alpacas whose photo I had seen and gone, “WOW.” Well, sometimes the stars align, and now, months later, we are proud to have Scottie join our stud row. Scottie is a very light silver harlequin appaloosa. His sire was a dark harlequin son of the renowned DPA Quetzal, son of Timoteo. His dam, My Peruvian Zuleika, was a powerful producer for Magical Farms. She is also the dam of multiple-champion grey ...

OH MY IS THIS ONE CUTE ALPACA! Tia always draws the attention of folks at shows and visitors to the farm. She is that rare harlequin alpaca that is born with fawn fleece only to reveal lovely grey at the first shearing. She has a beautifully spotted face. Tia is full of spunk and solid as a rock. Her fleece has crimp from skin to tip. Take a look at her ARI and you will see about every color on the color card. You will also see some of the top names in the industry listed such as Snowmass Andean Bronze, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, Snowass Royal Flush and Snowmass Ovation as well as 5Peruvian Silverado on her dams side. The sire's side brings in PPeruvian Timoteo, PPPeruvian Cornus, DPA Quetzal, My Peruvian Zuleika, Mr. Butterscoth and Zephyrus as well as PPeruvian Pluro. Really a genetic powerhouse.
When we attended the Magical Farms sale each year our daughter would spy the cutest leopard spotted cria in the pasture and beg us to buy it. Year after year the pairing of Quetzal and Zuleika produced these lovely cria. Tia is a descendant of that pairing and we jumped at the chance to bring her to our farm. She is co-owned with our daughter.
Picking a herdsire for Tia will be fun as there are endless possibilities for the direction we take her. We cannot wait to see what she is able to produce. Another of those rare gorgeous harlequins may be in her future!
Tia has been bred to our beautiful multi Tachometer and spitting off nicely. Can't wait to see the result next year!

UPDATE! Tia delivered a STUNNING cria! WOW! This little guy may be a harlequin - fingers crossed. He looks very much like she did as a cria but his fleece - OMG the fleece is Tachometer! He is rock solid, over 18 pounds at birth. Tia was an excellent fist time mom. .
This cria is spectacular! He has very tight crimpy fleece much like his Daddy's. It extends all the way done into the under belly. He is quite dense. He's a WOW!

Tia has been bred again to Tachometer and is currently spitting off.
Of course we repeated this breeding!!

UPDATE: Tia just keeps knocking it out of the park!
She delivered a stunning little multi girl on the 4th of July. We named her America!
This cria is so pretty! She has incredible fleece which she gets from her Daddy. In fact she is a mini me of her sire Tachometer. Very sturdy frame covered with all that crimpy fiber. Gorgeous face. I'm just in love with this cria. Look for her in the spring shows.

Tia is such a consistent producer for us. We have chosen Argento for her next pairing! Can't wait to see what they produce!

Tia delivered a bay black male from the Argento pairing. Tons of fleece on this guy. Very stout correct frame. A handsome dude.

Another gorgeous cria from Tia! She has delivered a robust fawn male with dark points. Stunning look and we are loving the fleece on this guy!

Tia has definitely earned her place as one of our top dams on the farm!
